The Owner & Founder
Hi! I am Kristel, owner & founder of Kay Inay Gifts Inc. I am an Analyst by profession and a mama of three. It was just about a month after I gave birth to our third child, when I launched Kay Inay in September 2020. I love to cook and bake. I enjoy making and preparing food for my family. I’m very hands on when it comes to managing our household because it can easily get crazy at times.
Kay Inay Gifts Inc. was born from ideas and inspirations shaped by meaningful life events over the years. The concept came to me during my last pregnancy. After four pregnancies, experiencing loss, and going through several bouts of postpartum blues, I developed a deeper appreciation for the strength motherhood gave me. This inspired me to create special gifts for all the incredible mothers out there, including my own mom and grandma—heartfelt tokens of gratitude meant to bring them joy and a little well-deserved pampering. While our collection centers on indulgent gift boxes for moms, Kay Inay is for anyone you want to shower with love through thoughtful giving.
One of my goals is to support local businesses, especially in today’s challenging economic climate. I want to help promote their products through our curated gift boxes while building a company that’s driven by purpose, not just profit. My journey began after connecting with a social enterprise and exploring corporate social responsibility, which pushed me to commit to meaningful social and environmental impact. Through how we operate and how we give back, we aim to make a difference.
Starting the Business
It was kind of overwhelming having a newborn and starting up a business (what am I thinking right?!). But I do enjoy handpicking and curating locally made products to share with you. I didn’t expect how much impact it has on me, especially when the postpartum hormones kick in. There’s something special about putting these items together that I find it very therapeutic. I put a lot of thought and love on it, and I hope you feel that when you receive one of our gift boxes.
Gift Boxes’ Names
This journey is very personal to me, so all the gift boxes’ names will be a tribute to the people in my life who inspire me to become better in my roles (wife, mother, daughter, etc.) and better in everything that I do.
